From Dunn's obituary —

Whether writing about matters small or large,
Mr. Dunn said in a 2010 episode of
The Cortland Review ’s video series “Poets in Person,”
the key was to find the meaning beneath the experience.

“Even your most serious problem,” he said,
“very few people are going to be interested in
unless you yourself, in the act of writing the poem,
make some discoveries about it.”
